SUMMARY: The highly anticipated annual Jamie’s Hope golf tournament continues to sell out & grow in celebrity attendance, sponsors, and funds raised for The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Houston, TX | May 19, 2015 – The Jamie’s Hope Foundation hosted the Third Annual Golf Tournament for a Cure on May 15th and again sold out both courses at Wildcat Golf Club. The event grossed over $123,000 and participants enjoyed an all-inclusive day full of food, drinks, games, awards, prizes and celebrity auctions while one lucky guest went home with a $15,000 Bullfrog Spa donated by Glacier’s Pool Supplies & Spas. Over 250 golfers, 50 sponsor participants and 80 volunteers joined together and braved the weather to throw another successful Jamie’s Hope tournament. Scattered rains and occasional downpours made things interesting but wasn’t enough to stop this dedicated group. The tournament gave participants the opportunity to golf with some of Houston’s biggest names including current and former Houston Texans players, MLB Brian Cushing, Pro-Bowl center Chris Myers, WR Kevin Walter, OL Ben Jones, Chester Pitts, Houston’s favorite weather girl, Chita Johnson of KHOU Channel 11 and Fox 26 News anchor, Katie McCall. Guests rolled with laughter during the live auction as radio personality, Scott Sparks, auctioned off celebrity caddies with his humorous charm. Among those donating their time as caddies, were 93Q Country’s Erica Rico and the current reigning Miss Houston Texas United States, Summer Sadiyeh. All 36 holes included activities and/or give-a-ways to ensure an exciting time was had by all. Each course featured a luxury car hole-in-one opportunity. Crave Luxury Auto generously put up a...

Feels so great to have eye lashes and eyebrows even if it’s only 2 days! Even my ladies at the Starbucks drive-through today were stunned and complementing my eyes!!!! Funny how something as little as eyelashes you have no idea how thankful you should be until you lose them…… So many things in life I took for granted until going through this, but if anything it has only made me stronger, more thankful to be alive (trust me things could be soooo much worse) and I know I am going to beat this (I have never believed cancer would beat me, just taking longer than I originally imagined, hope this doesn’t mean I am in denial, lol). ~ Jamie Makeup by: https://www.facebook.com/makeupbywendy...

However, I was happy to be out at my favorite place (Texans/NRG stadium) supporting the #FridayNightLights event hosted by a few of our favorite JH supporters… Brad & Joanna Marks along with Cal & Hannah McNair! It’s always soooo hard to find the energy to get out, but once I do I am always happy I dragged myself out of the house. After sitting for a little while, my hip stared hurting so bad that I was almost in tears. Garrick requested a chair with extra cushioning and check out what the awesome staff brought me in the pic Ever since part of my pelvis was removed at 23 years old, a broken hip training for Susan Koman at 25 followed by a a hip replacement, I’ve been dealing with pain off and on forever. Not...

Amanda & I met up with JJ Watt today! At the last Masquerade for a Cure Gala, Dr. Price won the awesome over-sized painting of JJ Watt in our auction. Unfortunately during transport, the painting was ruined by the rain Luckily artist (& my sister’s fiancé!) Adam Dallas Barnes was able to recreate another one and JJ made it extra special by signing it for us! Included a few pics from today with our Executive Director, Amanda Abiassi (aka superwoman, lol) carrying the art inside the office.
