Yesterday was a loooooooooong day, just now finishing update for yesterday. First appointment at 9:30 am (labs), got there around 12:00 since first doctor appointment was at 1:30 pm…. Then left at 10:37 PM… Picked up angel tree items I had on hold on the way home….. Arrived home right at midnight finally!!

I received my PET Scan results yesterday, included picture of my report below. My last scan we received positive results (first week of November) and the decision was made after our discussion that we would try doubling my chemo (same overall dosage) but I would not come every week. Yesterday was my first scan since trying this and many of my tumors SUV (activity level they use for monitoring my cancer) increased and in the report a new area of concern to watch was mentioned :( My last several scans reported stable but the SUV level was going down on a very slow decline and this was the first scan in a long time that went significantly the wrong way. We are giving it 2 more months until my next scan and if it does not improve then back to every week.

The last 1-2 months of my life have been some of my most stressful months over the past year, so praying that stress played a role. Poor Amanda, our Executive Director communicates with me almost everyday due to foundation and we have been friends forever so she has to listen and deal with me, lol. What many people don’t realize, when I don’t blog I am not always doing to good. On top of my health, etc….. Our heater broke the first time November 13th and from then the drama began…. We learned we have a boiler system, had several companies (ac/heat, plumbers, gas detection test, then boiler specialist), parts couldn’t be located then finally found the part after living In our house the week before Thanksgiving and it was 57 degrees inside….had same company out again 3 or 4 times and denied gas leak…. Centerpoint after that for gas leak, confirmed it was heater, same people again said no, had plumber out again another service fee for no reason and said gas was coming from that area… So back out again another leak finally found… Another $900 to $1000 repair… So now now been 1-2 weeks later smell gas AGAIN!!!!! …. They were back out again yesterday, denied smelling (once again showing up with NO gas detection equipment), turned gas off and blamed it on hot water heater which after 2 gas leak tests were done both showed negative on test, but our hot water heater sits on concrete (not up to code) and Centerpoint can’t light it and reported that on paper I gave him along with it confirming gas leak from Boiler only. So our friend Nancy started helping with communicating with them since this has been a nightmare and owner said he was going to get referral for replacement now (1500 later for both repairs, 250 for gas leak test and then another service fee 75ish) and of course no call back, even knowing we have a house full coming over for Christmas, I am in chemo, have an 11 year old child and cold front coming in Sunday.

I have definitely noticed a much higher level of pain in my hips and my stress over last 48 has been so bad. When I notice this it really makes me wonder why I have such increased pain and whether or not my cancer got worse due to stress, but who knows.

So I made the decision today that we are going to convert to electric and guess now we are replacing the whole system after wasting 2k and getting the run around, extreme stress all for nothing. It is so annoying that if we were just told it needed to be replaced from day 1 we would have done it, rather than undergo no heat, contractor after contractor for over a month.

Wish I could share every little detail sometimes, this is just one of my many things I have been dealing with.

On another note, check out what volunteers services brought by my chemo room!!! My most colorful hat ever…. love it!!! lol :)
Love that they have foundations out there that donate those items and awesome volunteers that help put a smile on your face when your up there!!
